Palín Mill |
At the end of the year 1988 we began work on the construction of Beneficio Palín, S.A. The location was mainly selected due to the microclimate in the area and the fact that it is perfect for the conservation of the coffee bean, the other important reason was because of the access to the railroad track, this was a method of transportation used to send the coffee for exports to the ports of shipment, located in the Pacific and the Atlantic. An average of 80 percent of the coffee we export is processed at the Dry Mill ¨Palín, S.A., located in Palín, Guatemala.
At the present time the original plant has been at this location for 16 years, however, we have made an expansion in order to store a larger amount of coffee, and new machinery and equipment with the best technology and best known name worldwide has been installed in order to process the specialty coffee with quality and efficiency.
The mill is now equipped with the best plant and machinery, including a cupping lab for quality control. Every coffee received is cupped and authorized by the quality department.
